First blog: coming out of the shell (er. . . crate)

Bugs has been here for a little over two weeks now.  Though she started out very shy,  she's coming out of her shell more and more as the days go by.   And with that, we're starting to experience what I imagine will be a very cool and quirky personality.

Anecdotally, the other night as we were getting ready for bed,  I had just turned the lights out when I heard Baylee (my hound) making a racket from the floor.  I turned on the lights to see Bugs sitting ON TOP of Baylee in hopes that it might encourage Baylee to give up (or at least share) her bed for the evening.   Bugs is also a bit of a collector -- especially with the stuffies.  She likes to hoard the stuffies in her crate.   My favorite thing, however, is that she loves to gently bury her head in your chest when she wants attention.  That's a move you can't ignore.

Bugs eats well, crates well, leash walks well, eliminates well, and is a generally good dog.  She may need a home that's on the quieter side, but I think in the right circumstance she'll be an excellent house mate.

Hopefully I can get some photos of her up here soon.
